Derby CAMRA Winter Beer Festival


The 14th Derby Winter Beer Festival will take place from the 21st to the 24th February 2018 at the Roundhouse in Derby.

Trade Session

There will be a Trade Session from 15:00 to 17:00 on Wednesday 21st February. If you wish to apply for tickets, please contact the festival secretary by clicking on the following address stating your organisation, how many tickets and an address where tickets can be sent:

Opening Times and Admission Prices

Wed 21st - 17:00 to 23:00     £3.00 (Pass-outs available to watch the football)
Thur 22nd - 12:00 to 23:00   £2.00 to 17:30, £5.00 after 17:30
Fri 23rd    - 12:00 to 23:00    £3.00 to 17:30, £6.00 after 17:30
Sat 24th   - 11:00 to 23:00    £3.00 to 17:30, £6.00 after 17:30

Card carrying CAMRA members are free at all times. The festival allows access to under 18 year olds during the day, but please, they must vacate before 19:00 (7pm). OAPs are free at lunch times. Getting There

The Roundhouse venue is part of the Derby College complex situated on the Eastern side of Derby Railway Station. If arriving by train use the Pride Park exit from the over-bridge. Click here to open Google Maps Roundhouse.

Free buses will be provided leaving Derby Exeter Bridge at 12:00 (Thur & Fri) and 11:00 (Sat) and then every half an hour until 22:00, calling outside the bus station (stop C8) a few minutes later. The first bus on Wednesday will be 17:00. Buses return from the festival at xx:15 and xx:45, the last buses being 22:45, 23:10 and 23:30.
Note: On Wenesday before and after the Derby football match, buses will be diverted to the front of the Railway Station.

Arriva also operate Route 4/4A between the bus station the back of the Roundhouse. Alight at the Roundhouse Way stop. There is a short cut opposite the stop which takes you to the front of the Roundhouse.


We hope to have the usual array of snacks and food to complement the tipples you are tasting. The Roundhouse will be providing hot food; click here for the menu. We will also have the following stalls:

Morgans Cheese - offering a wide range of cheeses and savouries.
Pipers Crisps - Offering a range of quality crisps. Look out for their new flavour; Jalapeno & Dill.
Oddfellows Chocolate - offering a wide range of chocolate and truffels.

Beer, Cider, Perry and Mead

Here is the final list before delivery adjustments. Download the program in PDF or XLS format (click on link). We have 497 different UK cask ales available from 152 different breweries. We will try to find 3 more to make 500! It would be rude not to, as they say. We will be launching the first in a series of collaboration beers brewed by Revolutions, Five Towns and Great Heck breweries.

Brewery Bars; Four breweries will be featured at the festival. Peak Ales and Brunswick will have dedicated bars in the main Roundhouse. Shiny will be featured in the Carriage Room and Dancing Duck will have their own bar in the Music Marquee.

Cider and Perry

The cider and perry bars will be featuring real cider and perry.

We will have a range of meads from Derbyshire's own Mercian Mead plus some others. All will be available by the glass or bottle.

World Beers

Once again there will be a dedicated bar showcasing bottled beers from around the world to tempt your taste buds. We will also have a World tap bar featuring artisan breweries, from the USA (O'so), Italy (Trulla, Harvest, Hibu and Scalndrone), Belgium (De La Senne) and and Germany (Sünner).


Entertainment will be provided in a separate marquee, which will have it's own Dancing Duck brewery bar. Approximate "on-stage" times are given in brackets. Click on the band name to see more information from their webpages/facebook.
